Job Description:
To ensure that for a designed geographical, the customer technical needs and business objectives are satisfied by managing all allocated resources in accordance with Distribution standards, procedures, directive, work practices, guidelines and policies.

- Establishing and maintaining a capable resource pool in the Technical Services Centre, placed and located to serve the customer and network demographics
- Ensuring effective and efficient planned and unplanned field work management
- Ensuring financial budgeting, control and reporting to authorities
- Ensuring an effective network operating capability
- Ensuring a safe working environment and eliminating sub-standard conditions
- Managing power plant on the network to ensure reliable continuous electrical supply to customers
- Conducting a needs analysis and manage contractors as critical service delivery partners
- Ensuring a quality one stop customer service
Job Requirements:
- 5 years ( with National Diploma Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)
- National Diploma Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Interpersonal skills
- Clear decision making, Low Risk Profile, Compliance
- Behavioural Skills: Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and professionalism
- Leadership skills: Team player, motivating teams, coaching, mentoring, developing, etc.
- Knowledge: Eskom Policies, Standards and Procedures, Maintenance and Operating and Outage Value Chains, Internal systems: Maximo, Vat, SAP “cost centre owner”
- Skills: Supervisory skill Negotiating, Contract Management, Financial, Human Resource Skills, Conflict Management, Facilitation Skills, Authorisation for Local Control, Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08), Planning and Organising and Time Management.
